Sexual misconduct, especially on college campuses, has become a widespread issue in today’s society. There are so many directions that this story could go, from an emotion pull on the heartstrings to completely factual and objective.

This story slipped under the rdar last week. I think you have the right angle in 1a. From what I can tell, the changes will give more protection to those who are accused. My guess is that you could find some men who believe this is a welcome change.
