Because Backwater University biology class is teaching evolution a group of citizens is angry. Evolution has always been touchy subject especially with the churches. The group of angry protestors is led by Wilbur Straking, pastor of Ever-Faithful Church of the Living Water.

The Leaders Straking told Backwater Daily “I plan to lead a group of 25 dedicated Christians to the state capital next Monday to speak with legislators about this problem. We believe the teaching of evolution is against the principles of this Christian country, and we want to put a stop to it.”

The class they are objecting to is taught by Laura Cliff, associate professor of biology. She would comment on the group’s charges. The President would not comment either.
