This article honestly does not provide any information on the shooting, however is provides the three men that were shot from the 17 year kid who decided to show up at the protest with an AR-15. I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I know people who where at that protest and wanted to make a statement that the killing of anybody, but in this case a black man is not right or justified. I felt that the audacity of some people who are trying to backup or justify a kid coming to a peaceful protest walking down a street with an AR-15 is ok in their mind. How can it be someone’s fault they felt threatened and tried to take the gun away from him in the protection of everyone in the protest. I feel the news posted this one close the headline due to the Journal Sentinel which is a newspaper that mainly everyone in Wisconsin gets. My connection to this story is one of the men who got shot is from West Allis where I am from and went to high school in that city. I feel this news should be posted across all the headlines because people need to figure things out and realize it’s not ok to kill anyone. Also, the factor of accepting the fact that someone is fighting for something other than what one may believe in and just allow them to say what they want in the time of mourning.

Into the Unknown Of TJ Schnurr

Thomas Jeffery, also known as TJ is a business major who plays basketball for the Morningside Mustangs. He is from Algona, Iowa and went to Bishop Garrigan where he threw shot put, played basketball and football. He was a big time recruit for football, but decided to pursue the passion he loved, which was basketball. He has one brother who is older than him that went to Iowa. His mom and dad are both big influences in the community of Algona due to his dad being a gym teacher at the high school and his mom being the coach of the Bishop Garrigan girls volleyball team. A fun fact is Tj’s mom was a D1 volleyball player at Drake. Tj said he picked Morningside based off the family like atmosphere that provided him with an at home feeling. He is not sure what he wants to do when he is older, but would love to do something that includes sports.
