On Wednesday President Donald J. Trump gave a rambling 83 minute speech in which he described women accusing men of power of sexual assault as “evil people,” he attacked Canada over several issues, and was eventually laughed at by several key first world leaders.
Covering the bizarre antics of our acting president certainly isn’t an easy thing to do. Between the well documented cases of him stretching the truth, avoiding the truth, or outright lying and his boorish and often more than often vulgar language it can be difficult to paint him in any positive light. Of course this news conference does not make that easier. I think the writer of this piece did a good job with presenting the events of yesterday’s meeting in an accurate light and this was certainly a relevant story, it isn’t everyday that the “leader of the free world” is publicly mocked by the world’s most influential alliance.
