Change of Faces At QB For The Carolina Panthers

Quarterback, Cam Newton, recently got signed back to the Carolina Panthers after Sam Darnold has been underperforming in the past couple weeks.

This week, Newton will receive most of the reps at QB 1 to get him ready for his first start this Sunday. The 32 year old quarterback will be facing his former coach, Ron Rivera, as they play against the Washington Football Team.

Panthers head coach doesn’t want to pressure Newton into getting suited up for the QB 1 role if he isn’t fully ready and comfortable with the offensive scheme. PJ Walker, starter of their last game, is more than capable of stepping in if Newton isn’t ready to jump into the starting role this weekend.

With the ten plays that were drew up for Newton last week, he did look very comfortable and gave the offense a personality when he was on the field.

This article is very objective and gives the reader a good picture at where the Panthers head coach is trying to lead this team. It allows the reader to also see what their plans are for Newton and what they expect from his as well as his teammates. The author did a very good job at capturing all aspects of the situation on this team. The quotes from the coaches and staff were very relevant and provided strength to the article.

How is Cam Newton already 32? Seems like just yesterday he was charged with stealing a classmate’s computer.

Interesting perspective, since the reporter didn’t/couldn’t interview Newton. Go with what you can get.
