Chris Blewitt Did Just That, Blew It #11

The Washington Football Team’s kicker, Chris Blewitt, has had three kicks blocked in the last two games.

The WFT gambled on Blewitt just three weeks ago as they released their last kicker Dustin Hopkins. The move obviously didn’t work out as they released Blewitt a week later.

This time the WFT plans to gamble with a veteran kicker named Joey Slye. In his career, he has completed respectable stats “He has made 80.2% of his career field goals and 88% of his extra points” according to ESPN staff writer, John Keim, making it a great replacement for Blewitt.

This article is very objective as there are a variety of stats that help support the Washington Football Team’s move to release Blewitt.

Throughout this article about the Washington Football Team, the author gave clear and precise information that allowed me to make an easy decision whether of not the move was right.

(late) As far as the feature angles, the three you have would all be “news” to most sports fans. Something more feature-y might be the physics of blocking a punt. Or, what other athletes have such appropriate names? (Baseball players named Bunt?)
