New Orleans Saints QB tears ACL on Sunday against the Buccaneers (#10)

Jameis Winston tore the ACL on his left knee and sustained MCL damaged confirmed by Sean Payton, Saints Head Coach. The injury occurred from an illegal horse collar coming from Buccaneers linebacker, Devin White.

Sean Payton didn’t answer who would become the new starter while Winston is out. The only thing he said for certain is that the Saints don’t plan on adding a new quarterback to the roster after losing Winston.

It is still unclear who the starter will be for Week 9 due to the backup, Taysom Hill, being out since Week 5 because of a concussion. However, the team is very optimistic for Hill’s return to the team coming into this weekend.

While Hill was unavailable to fill in after Winston’s injury, Trevor Siemian, 3rd string QB, had to fill in for the rest of the game leading to a win over the Buccaneers.

Siemian proved himself to be worthy of starting in Week 9 after his performance against the defending Super Bowl Champions.

He exceeded his coaches expectations for him and made it a tough decision of who to start next week if both QB’s are healthy.

    So, the writing?

The horse-collar tackle is mentioned in the second graf. Then not mentioned until the very end. Should it have been a bigger part of the story?
