This is Morningside News with your host Dylan Hamil. Today we will be covering three stories that may relate to your life or someone you know.

Let’s start today off with talking about,

Extraordinary Fish Can Regrow Around 20 Teeth Per Day

The pacific lingcod replaces it’s teeth frequently and experts say there are potentially more fish like it.

One fascinating thing about the pacific lingcod is that they “have a set of upper and lower jaws, just like ours, but they’re more mobile—they can be thrown forward and spread out” said Elizabeth Brown, author for National Geographic. This fish relies on their razor-sharp teeth to kill their predators as soon as they lunge their jaw forward to clamp onto their meal.

Experts are trying to study this strange phenomenon to help better understand why these fish are able to lose and regrow teeth so fast compared to humans which only have two sets of teeth throughout their whole lives.

Tharen Cox, student at Morningside University, stated ” Quote ” showing how he would still act careless with his teeth even especially after he already broke one of his teeth already. Being able to grow his teeth back would be a major plus in his book.

In other news,

Minnesota Vikings running back allegedly abused ex-girlfriend resulting in lawsuit.

Dalvin Cook, running back for the Minnesota Vikings, addressed lawsuit against him during press conference. Cook claims innocence at press conference. “I just want everybody to know I’m the victim in this situation and the truth and the details about the situation will come out at a further time,” Cook said.

In the police report, Cook was accused of multiple charges by ex-girlfriend.  “Assault, battery and false imprisonment, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday” stated by ESPN staff writer, Courtney Cronin.

In the lawsuit, Cook was acting in self-defense as his ex-girlfriend attacked him with mace and stole his gun.

There’s been no action done by the NFL commission as it is civil matter that is conducted outside of the league.

A student at Morningside University, Owen Anderson, shared his thoughts on the issue and whether it’s an issue for students here on campus “Quote” explaining that men are more likely to be blamed for assault lead issues than women.

Lets wrap up the news in Minnesota and talk about a

Pharmacy in Virginia gave wrong vaccine dose to kids

More than 100 kids from ages 5-11 have been mistakenly given the Covid-19 vaccine that is made for kids who are 12 and older at a pharmacy in Virginia.

On November 5th, “state and federal authorities ordered the pharmacy to discontinue administering the vaccine” stated by Virginia’s health department.

This vaccine has been removed from state and federal Covid-19 vaccine programs. With these efforts, Virginia’s Health Department hopes to eliminate this problem and provide the correct vaccines to anyone and everyone who may want it.

Jacob Depauw, student at Morningside University, shared his thoughts on the issue and told us what he would do if he was in the kids situation “Quote” showing how people of any age are scared of getting the vaccine in the first place and being gave the wrong dosage could drastically affect people.

Is this your broadcast script? There are noe two stories here.

Your lead requires a listener recognize the fish. I do not. Maybe someone from the west coast would. The idea of re-growing 20 teeth a day would catch my attention, though. Maybe.

This is likely too long for your broadcast assignment. Consider how to shorten while also including a local soundbite/quote. Read it aloud and time out for about 60 seconds.
