By Gabi French–The Morningside volleyball team witnessed its first five-set match of the season. After being down 2-1 to Mount Marty, the Mustangs bounced back to win the fourth and fifth set. The Mustangs won 15-7 in the fifth to snap an 11-game losing streak.

“We came out and fought hard the entire match, this was a win that we definitely needed as a team to get us back on the right track and mindset,” Donnelly said.

London Bockenstedt and Morgan Whitehead led the way for the Mustangs on the offense, accumulating 13 and 12 kills. This is a game high for both of the Mustangs.

“I was excited to go in! I wanted our team to win so badly, so I did what I had to do for the team, and that was put balls away,” Whitehead said.

Next for the Mustangs offense was Aneisha Ford where she produced nine kills for the Mustangs, followed by Ashley Vande Stowe with seven.
