By Doreen Mshana – Morningside University students recently took part in an exciting event called “Into the Streets,” sponsored by Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), in Sioux City. This event aimed to help the community and encourage students to get involved.
Through Into the Streets, students gain a deeper understanding of their local community and recognize the value of giving back. The program inspires them to step beyond the classroom and make a meaningful local impact.
Participants engage in various community initiatives including cleanups, food drives, tutoring, and mentorship at several partner organizations.

Many student participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve, reflecting on how much they learned about the challenges facing their surrounding community.
Into the Streets shows Morningside University’s commitment to developing socially responsible leaders.
