Men’s Volleyball Team Prepares for First Season

Mens Volleyball IconBy Hannah Severson– The men’s club volleyball team is starting up its inaugural year. They are already under way for their season, which will start spring semester. Their schedule is not yet posted, but they practice five days a week, from 5:30 p.m. to around 8 p.m.

The head coach, Scott Tschetter, was the head women’s volleyball coach at Iowa Lakes Community College where he helped led the Lakers to six National Junior College Athletic Association National Tournament appearances.

Spencer Eiseman, a senior from Brookings South Dakota, is a member of the team. He is one of the eleven members, and Eiseman says that there is a chance that they could be getting two to three new players at semester.

Eiseman doesn’t really know what his favorite part about volleyball is because he loves every aspect of it.

“There is a lot more than just playing. You have to be able to think on your toes a lot because it is such a fast game and very mental,” Eiseman said.
