Trump Tested Positive for Virus Days Before Debate, 2 Ex-Officials Say

This article from the N.Y. Times talks about former President Donald Trump and a secret from the time when he was still the President.

Back in 2020, Donald Trump tested positive for coronavirus, three days before his presidential debate with Joe Biden. According to two former administration officials Trump tested positive but then tested negative shortly after. The White House chose to withhold this information from the public. Even though Trump knew about the positive test result, he allegedly ignored the result and talked with reporters, not wearing a mask.

The article by the N.Y. Times is newsworthy as it shows Trump’s attitude towards Covid-19, especially during the first few months of the pandemic. He talked to the press and even attended an event for military families, possibly endangering other people’s lives. In fact, one of the reporters Trump talked to shortly after the positive test, actually ended up testing positive for Covid-19. In addition to that, it is also interesting to see that Trump’s former Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows went along with everything and continued to enable Trump to do his work, while endangering others.

  1. It’s worth being skeptical of this story because of the sources.
But at the same time, nothing about it seems unlikely or
unbelievable. Of course, Trump denies it.
