Is being lazy a bad trait?

Luc Mai, an international student at Morningside has a trait that a lot of people share with him. According to himself, he is very lazy.  Everybody would agree to the fact that this is usually a bad trait. However, Mai took this trait and looked at the benefits that he gets from being lazy.

There are multiple times where Mai got his studying and his homework done in the last minute and although he was lazy, he recounts that he got his best grades for exactly these assignments.

According to himself, his laziness makes him more effective. Mai said that he works best under time pressure and because of that he always finds the quickest and easiest way to reach his goals. Mai stated, “I do this because I am not a hard worker, I’m a smart worker.”

This anecdote shows that Mai took this ‘bad’ trait and turned it into one of his strengths.
