By Rachel Potter –- Concordia College hosted the GPAC #3 tournament at Highlands Golf Course in Lincoln, Nebraska where the Mustang took home the win scoring 325 points. Morningside had three golfing in the top 5, Myla Brown came in 2nd place with a 79, Alex Mankle tied for 3rd place with an 80, and Cheyenne Becker tied for 5th place with an 81.
Myla Brown said, “we’ve been practicing hard, and I think we can move up in the GPAC.”
The women will compete in their last tournament of the year on Monday, May 2 in Mitchell South Dakota. Dakota Wesleyan will be the host of the GPAC #4 tournament. This tournament will decided the 2015-2016 women’s golf GPAC champion. Currently Mount Marty is in the lead with 1017 followed by Dakota Wesleyan at 1018, then Nebraska Wesleyan with 1019, and finally Morningside with1020.
Cheyenne Becker said, “The title is honestly anybody’s, and I think we have a great change of being named GPAC champions if we play like we did on Wednesday.”
