By Diane Nguyen–Student Government Student Advocate Alex Sullivan is a junior double majoring in business and Spanish from Berthoud, CO
As Advocate she takes care of constitutional matters, handles parliamentary procedures during meetings, and deals with student concerns. She also runs elections and works with the executive team and senate on communication.
Her committee is the constitution committee where they overlook the constitution. Included in that committee is surveying and talking to students about what change they would like to see on campus instead if just letting the institution do whatever they please with the student’s money. She also wants “People to have an understanding what Student Government is and have them know that we are here for the students.”
Alex’s main issue is “To bring a positive change to campus and to continue the grand traditions of Student Government.” Which happens to be representation. How our Student Government holds themselves responsible to our actions and to a much higher standard then other college’s Student Governments.
Of her job so far, she says, “Pretty cool so far and we get things done.”
Outside of Student Government Alex is the President of the Morningside Gay-Straight Alliance. She is involved heavily in theatre. She also likes to read, write, draw, watch anime, and sleep.

Student Government Meetings are Tuesday in the in the Student Government Office, located in the lower level of the Olsen Student Center, at 6:30pm.
