By Jordan Heim—Former Hewlett-Packard CEO and 2010 California Senate candidate Carly Fiorina spoke to a full UPS auditorium on Tuesday, April 21.
Tuesday’s visit marked the second stop on her five day, thirteen-stop tour of Iowa. The last time she was in Iowa was in mid-March for several events.
The town hall meeting consisted of Fiorina introducing herself to students and the Siouxland community. She says she can relate to voters and is qualified.
Fiorina announced she is “98 percent sure” she will be running as a Republican candidate for the 2016 presidential election.
If elected Fiorina will focus on small businesses, repeal the Affordable Care Act, secure the border, fix tax regulations to grow the economy, and strengthen relationships with the United States’ allies.
In 2008 Fiorina was an advisor for Senator McCain. In 2010 she ran for the United States Senate in California, but was defeated by the Democratic incumbent Barbra Boxer.
Fiorina will announce a finalized decision in the next few weeks.
