By Andrew Schnebel–This weeks Collegian Reporter athlete of the week goes to Danny Rudeen.
Rudeen, a 6-3 senior guard from Sioux City, Iowa, scored 24 points on 9 of 15 shooting in the Mustangs 97-65 victory on January 22nd over rival Northwestern College. He also added five rebounds in the contest. He got the Mustangs going early in the game by starting out 4 for 4 on three point field goals, finishing 5 of 8 shooting. The Mustangs pushed the lead all they way to 41 in the second half, which took Rudeen out for most of the second half.
On the season Rudeen is averaging a team leading 20.2 points per game, and five rebounds a game. The team is currently 14-7 and has won 5 of 6 since opening the New Year. The Mustangs go on the road to Mitchell, South Dakota on Wednesday January 29 to take on Dakota Wesleyan University.
