If you’ve been on the internet this year you’ve probably seen pictures of fave swaps and deepfakes. They have been a rising internet trend (especially by the rise of A.I. technology) and they started out as harmless jokes. But now they have evolved to replicate pornography. Bille Eilish is one example used in this article but many celebrities are getting caught in the cross fire. This technology to replicate someone else’s face is not new, but it has gotten a lot easier to make because of A.I. Generation. I have dabbled with the deep fake technology for making my friend look like Bat-Man because he always calls himself Bat-Man. But it was all for the joke and nothing more. I kind of understand how it works but I never thought people would use it for pornography. But here we are.
