My dream job is to be a video game designer. Yes, I know. It’s rather corny. Yet, I have a passion for video games in general. I enjoy everything about video games. The stories. The characters. The designing of video games. Basically everything that goes into the making of videogames. But, mainly how they make it POSSIBLE. For instance, how they make a character swing a sword fluidly and real-like. However, if I cannot get that particular job, then I am not so specific about what job I get, so long as I’m part of the videogame industry.
I have several valuable skills. First, I know how to program. Programming allows a person to create programs, obviously. However, this will be visual and uncertain, so I might still need some more advanced training. Second, I know how to fiddle with computers to make them work. Basically, I fix them at least through software, not hardware. As in, I don’t take apart the machine but rather troubleshoot quite well. Third and final, I am a businessman with creative ideas. I know what videogamers want, in general. A businessman is required to know that. As for creative ideas, I constantly think of ways that could make videogames better. For instance, I would always strive to make a better evolved character.
I must make a point that videogames are essentially interactive movies. Want a western? Play Red Dead: Redmption. Action? Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Both are great games with memorable stories and even lessons about life in general. So, with that said, I would enjoy having a job in a videogame company. However, I am realistic as to the fact that they are normally located on the west or east coast. So, I might have to consider that or think of a different dream job.
