I scream! You scream! We all scream!

The waxy wrapper of my Big Star Bar is lined with royal blue rabbits that look like they’re jumping over the moon. As I grasp the wrapper getting ready to rip it open I can hear a dull crinkling sound. The wrapper rips open easily, making only the tiniest sound. I reach my fingers into  the wrapper, blindly feeling for the small wooden stick that I know is waiting for me inside. When my fingers land on the beige wood stick I carefully pull my delicious treat out of it’s prison. A dark brown chocolate covers a vanilla creamy bar. The bar starts to sweat as it waits for me to eat it. As I bite into the chocolate covered bar I can hear a light crunching noise, which is the sound of the hardened chocolate outer shell breaking free into my mouth. I can smell the rich chocolate as I start to chew the remains left behind. The creamy treat swirls around in my mouth as I try to savor the flavor. There is a strategy to eating these messy foods, which is to eat them fast.  The hard chocolate skis down the cream colored slopes aimed for my warm bare legs. As an avalanche of thick vanilla ice cream starts to melt I follow the bar with my hand to catch any stray drops or pieces of chocolate. The bittersweet chocolate melts in my mouth leaving a cocoa taste on my tongue. As I come close to finishing my bar I must navigate around the wooden pole poking through my treat. This challenge makes the finale a little bit more tricky. As I bite into the butt of the bar my left hand waits for the opposite side of my cold treat to slide into my hand. I was thrilled when it didn’t. I finished off my treat successfully. Hoorah!

Prison! Skis! Navigate! Some good word choices, Lauren. This is a good process-style description, start to finish. Good sensory detail.
