Story #2 (Draft)

Declaring a winner (The 2020 presidential debate)

To say the least, that was awful.

“It was a shit show, but when I dug to the bottom of the shit pile I thought Trump won.”-Dylan Miller.

Trump interrupted a total of 145 times, according to Fox News. Which is absurd, and there seemed to be no control over the debate by the moderator. Even Biden is quoted saying, “Will you shut up, man?”

And maybe Trump had it coming, but this is not actions that should be taken by two potential presidents of the United States.

“It was stupid. I don’t like how it is a giant pissing match and isn’t about politics. It’s just two old dudes yelling.” Bryson Janousek. Many people I talked to shared this same opinion, and for a debate between two potential heads of state, was embarrassing. The amount Ad Hominem attacks (Personal attacks) states how woefully unprepared both sides were. Biden seemed very well put together at times, however but falling to the “Trump Trap” often.

The Trump Trap: The Trump Trap is when Trump circles back, and then begins to try to overwhelm with irrelevant facts and attacks which will misdirect the rebuttal. Biden was no stranger to attacks, either. “It’s hard to get any words in, with this clown” Biden himself stated referring to Trump.

“So, that was an absolute mess. Whoever wins at this rate, will leave a large amount of people unhappy enough to create political violence” stated Kristine Honomichl. The growing wake of political violence and acceptance of it is growing. Especially when referencing to Kenosha, WI where Kyle Rittenhouse traded shots with an antifa attacker.

Kristine isn’t alone in fearing for political violence. Twitter has erupted in attacks on Trump, and the acceptance of hate into our society so long as it falls under a certain agenda. Even the existence and emergence of militia like groups such as “NFAC” (Not F*cking around coalition), “Boogaloo Boys”, and the “Proud Boys” seems to strengthen the idea that there may be violence in the future.
