Just hours after a Kentucky grand jury brought no charges upon the two officers who killed Breonna Taylor, people took right to the streets to protest. These protest were very violent and it is said that two officers were shot and wounded. The shots rang out from a large crowd so the authorities are unsure who the victims were. The violent protests are going throughout Louisville and the cops are sending pepper bombs, and walking around in riot gear.
I feel this article was very good eye catcher. Its title told you what the overall status of the story would be and then when you started reading it was able to introduce the different things to happen throughout the protests. Also, it was able to run down Mrs. Taylor case and why people should have the right of being mad. They were able to get the full coverage from it and provide many information. The thing they should improve on is make the different section more prominent in the writing.
Good comment, Jake. I just commented to someone who
was concerned the media do not call these protest what
they are: riots. What do you think? Should the terminology
change?
