Hundred homes are being affected by a category 2 hurricane. It has started near the Gulf Shores of Alabama and it continuing to move towards the peninsula of Florida. The big thing that is leaving authorities powerless is the strom is pushing a construction barge with an extended crane heading towards a bridge. As of now the water is as deep as five feet and some areas completely submerging cars.

I feel this lead was very clear and told me the entire story right off the bat. They were able to tell me the key information for me to know the situation, and make me want to continue reading on to look more into the story. I feel they should have added more comments from the people that have evacuated or the ones trying to save those in the endangered spots. Lastly, I feel they should have put an emphasis on how those not in direct fight of the hurricane can help and be apart of changing those houses destroyed.
