Local firefighter, Bob Hardwood climbed up 50 feet to save a cat at 102 11th Ave.

It was a Calico cat, which belonged to Suzanne and Samantha Decker. As Mr. Hardwood climbed up the ladder he reached the cat, but he dropped 15 feet due to a broken tree limb.

Bob received an injury of a broken leg, but is doing just fine at St. Luke’s Hospital. The cat is also fine due to landing on Bob after the fall.
