Recently officials figured out that thousands, mostly from the Miami-Dade County, have been voting illegally. Many of these people didn’t know that they were voting illegally. The article caught my eye because I’m from Florida and I’m interested as to what goes on with the politics down there.

This is newsworthy because it pertains to the people of Florida and it holds concern that people who should not be voting are.

  • We’ll see how many actually voted. These “purges” have become news recently because Democrats see them as an attempt to make it more difficult for minorities and the poor to vote (which helps Republicans). Illegal voting, from what I’ve read, is not a widespread problem.
