What’s Your Favorite Movie?

Preston Nibaur, a junior here at Morningside College, was asked today what his favorite movie was. When I approached him he was sitting in the Olsen Student Center using his computer. He looked at me with a confused look on his face and surprised that someone was approaching him. When I asked what his favorite movie was he laughed and said, “Seriously?” Obviously I was being serious so I laughed along and told him that yes, I was being serious. It took him a minute or two to come up with his favorite movie but once he thought of it he laughed a little and huge smile came across his face. “I would have to say 21 Jumpstreet,” he said while lightly laughing. I laughed and said, “That’s an awesome movie!” He nodded in agreement and then continued to say, “I may of watched it four times in five days with my roommates,” saying it sarcastically. I looked at him with a “are you serious?” look and he laughed. He continued to say that everyday they watched the movie different people would come by and watch along with them. You could say he lived in the popular room for those five days.

“21 Jumpstreet” stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as undercover cops and go back to high school. They are trying to uncover who is the drug dealer in the area selling to the high school students. It is a hilarious movie and I recommend you to see it.

  • A good story. Can you supply one descriptive detail that would make Preston more alive for me? A high pitched voice, maybe, that doesn’t match his masculine physique? Giggle is a word that has lots of connotations, Hanna. I usually associate it with young girls.
