Four families evacuated due to gas that flooded sewer lines for two blocks because of a Texaco gasoline truck that overturned on the outskirts of Sioux City. Cars are being rerouted to side streets because of the accident on the intersection of 48th street and Correctionville Road.
Fire Chief Charles Hochandel said “The firemen followed catastrophe and hazmat procedures set up beforehand for just such an occurrence.” This event was very serious for roughly two hours until the gas was flushed away. Street and ditched were cleaned thoroughly.
Too much in the lead, Hunter. This is a what lead. Quickly. What happened. A gas truck overturned this morning. Then the next most important.
