In St. Louis home of the STL Cardinals and Blues it was a very bad tragic that happened in 2800 block of New Florissant and North St. Louis. Teenager name Darrly Ross, 16, was armed and running away, police and family member say.

Their accounts otherwise diverge on key points: whether officers identified themselves as they
approached the teen; whether the teen’s mother was there at the time of the shooting; and
whether his gun was out during the encounter.

In the article on STLToday a quote from the deceptive on seen and that was there during the sitution “According to the incident summary, drug enforcement detectives were watching the area Sunday night when they saw several people with guns outside the gas station just after 11:30 p.m.”

The detectives said they pulled into the parking lot in an undercover vehicle and were dressed
in plain clothes but were wearing black bulletproof vests with the word “POLICE” in white
letters on the front and back.

That’s when police said Darryl “quickly walked off” the gas station lot and into a nearby alley,
so they followed him in their car. When they reached him, officers said, they got out of the
vehicle and identified themselves as police.

Police said Darryl ran through a hole in an iron fence and west across the gas station’s
storefront as they chased him. Officers said the teenager tripped over a curb, fell and dropped
a pistol. As detectives approached him, they said, Darryl reached for the gun, and both
detectives shot him.

sources really had good information and also gave a quote from the detective that was on seen during the incident. However, everything was the same as far as information and
what the mother of the child said and how she felt about the situations. The Mother of Darrly Ross said

“Darryl’s mother, Jukita Johnson said ‘He was planning to enroll in Vashon High School to play
on the basketball team because he loved watching and playing basketball. His Uncle “Darryl’s”
is a police office and he will be pursuing the case and looking into it himself because he loved
his nephews and didn’t want to see him in the streets and wanted him to pursue his dreams as
playing ball.”
