Seattle Storm are the 2020 WNBA Champs

The Seattle Storm took down the top seeded Las Vegas Aces behind a lineup full of talented veterans.

Tuesday night, the Seattle Storm beat the Aces 92-59, giving the Storm their 4th series championship ever. Seattle cruised to the victory and defeated their opponent by 33 points. Which ended up being the largest margin of victory in WNBA finals history.

COVID affected their season just as any other sports team, and their season was shortened to 22 games inside a bubble. But that didn’t stand in the way of the veterans mindset for that championship.

Veteran player Brianna Stewart and Sue Bird were key players for the Storm in the finals. Stewart who was last years MVP, stepped up and lead the team in scoring, and putting up impressive defensive skills with 12 steals in the series.

Sue Bird, the leagues all-time career leader in assists, was next to Stewart in the impact she had on the team. Sue, who turns 40 tomorrow lead the team in assets this year and captured a spot on the All-Star team.

Seattle battled throughout the season and were thrown curveballs with injuries and COVID exposure. But after the dust settle, Seattle came out on top as the 2020 WNBA Champions.
