Friday is Writing Day: March 27th

By Jenni Beaver—Friday is Writing Day continues to bring students across campus together for a great cause and discussion. On March 27 the topic for discussion centers around environmental and sustainability themes.

Patrick Blaine, director of sustainability and faculty member in the English and modern languages department, is heading up this week’s event. Blaine says that his position as director of sustainability requires him “to try to encourage links between student groups and other activities on campus and moving awareness and engagement of sustainability on campus.” The links between the groups and awareness of sustainability is the main focus of the event this Friday. However, Blaine also said that FIWD allows him to support his department by encouraging his students and others to attend.

This Friday, March 27, at noon in the Hickman Dining Room, C&C students will be sharing their thoughts on the environmental and sustainability topics they chose to write about.
