New Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Announced

By Gabi French—Morningside College recently announced the hiring of Beth Donnelly for the woman’s head volleyball coaching position.

Beth Donnelly is coming from a very successful season from her previous school, Olympic College in Washington. She has been the head coach there for the past 5 years where she posted a 134-67 record. Donnelly was also named the Northern Region Coach of the Year.

Donnelly is very excited to bring success back to Morningside volleyball. The Mustangs haven’t been to the national tournament since the 2012 season.

Hannah Christensen, senior volleyball player, said, “I am very excited for the new opportunities that we will be given. There are so many things that are going to be different but I think it will be good for us.”

Christensen really enjoyed her time playing under Sara Horn, but is excited to see what Donnelly has to offer the Mustangs.
