Homecoming Week: Get Wild, Go Retro

Get Wild: Retro Style. It’s homecoming week for the Morningside Mustangs.

Kick-off the week with the A Cappella group Ball In The House. They will be preforming at 8pm at Buhler Outdoor Performance Center. They sing a wide variety of songs including well-known covers of ‘Just The Way You Are’ by Bruno Mars, ‘Cupid Shuffle,’ ‘Cool Whip Jingle’ and ‘It’s Friday’ by Rebecca Black. The group also acts out some of the songs.

Pack the stands on Tuesday for Neon Night at the volleyball game. The Mustang girls will be facing Mount Marty at 7:30pm. Students should wear their brightest colors to support the volleyball team.

Take on the other classes on Wednesday in battle of the classes hosted by the cheerleaders. It starts at 7pm in Eppley. Each class will be asked to wear a different color. Battle of the classes will be a series of contests of various skills.

Thursday is a night of royalty crowning at the Coronation and Talent show. The crown of the homecoming queen and king will take place here. In addition, Morningside will show students their talent.

The Amazing Arthur will be performing in Eppley at 9pm Friday. The Amazing Arthur is a hypnotist who will be performing hypnotics for and on audience members.

Saturday starts off with the Music Department homecoming concert at 11:30am in Eppley. The football game against Hastings will start at 1:30pm.

Following the football game will be Taste of Morningside where various food places in Sioux City are going to be under one tent exchanging food for tickets. Students can get their tickets this week in the Main Dining Room.

The homecoming dance will be held at the Sioux City Convention Center from 9pm to 1pm. Buses start at 9pm outside of Olsen.
