By Amber Burg–Alpha Lambda Delta members held a water balloon fight and grill out Sept. 13 to kick-off the year.
ALD hosted the event with the help of some members from Phi Eta Sigma. The water balloon fight and grill out took place on Bass Field. Various members from both organizations and other students on campus attended. ALD wanted to host a fun event that would allow students to relax after the school week.
ALD is the freshman women’s honor society and PES is the men’s. Freshman must obtain a 3.5 GPA or above to be invited to join. Membership invitations are sent in the spring of freshman year. Active membership occurs in their sophomore year.
