By Brittany Conolly– Picking Morningside as her college of choice, Tasha Drey loved the small town feel. Being from Storm Lake helped in her choice. She said, “It’s the perfect distance from
home.”
Choosing the right college wasn’t the only big choice Drey made for her future. She also chose to have a major and two minors.
Drey is majoring in corporate communications and minoring in graphic design and advertising. A junior, she is getting prepared for the future. Drey wants to pursue a career in public relations and/or marketing.
Tasha said, “ I chose corporate communications because the required classes really interested me. I knew I was interested in communications. When I saw how corporate communications tied in to communications, graphic design, and a little marketing, I knew it was perfect for me.”
Drey even expands her learning further than the classroom. She is currently interning in admissions at Morningside as a student assistant. Because of her interest in marketing she has accepted an internship at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. “I think it would be fun to work at a hospital in that area. I am really looking forward to gaining more experience, especially since that’s my ideal job,” said Drey.
