The Shrine Circus is making its annual debut April 17, 2012, at the Tyson Event Center. The circus is performing until Sunday, April 22. There are different circus times throughout the day and evening. The ticket prices are $10, $14, and $17. The range of prices is due to different seating areas around the arena. Shriner Kelly Conolly says, “Up close is the best because you get to interact with the clowns and entertainers, but any seat will have a good show.”
As the week carries out the show will go strong with different acts. Some of the acts will be the lions, clowns, trapeze artists, and the horse shows. Kyle Lesline, a Shriner, says, “My favorite act is the motorcycle brigade. Those guys have talent in such a tiny metal ball.” Morningside students are offered the same deals as elementary kids around Sioux City. These deals are a chance to get free tickets to the circus, and a chance to take part in the 2012 Shrine Circus. Richard Rawson, a new Shriner, states, “I am 22 years old and still love coming to the Circus, even if I have to work it. It is fun to watch all the kids and adults take part in such a great cause, while still having a good time.”
