Photos by Abby Koch-Morningside women’s basketball met Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) rival Concordia Bulldogs in the national quarterfinals on Sat. March 20. After a slow start, the Morningside Mustangs fired up to win 83-67 against the Bulldogs.
Senior Sierra Mitchell led the Mustangs with 26 points. Junior Taylor Rodenburgh came off the bench and was second in scoring with 20 points.
The Mustangs move on to semifinals in the national tournament and will face top seeded Thomas Moore University on Mon. March 22. Tip off will be at 6pm.
