A texaco gasoline truck overturned and gas flooded sewer lines for two blocks.
The accident happened on 48th Street and Correctionville Road. Cars had to reroute for approximately two hours through side streets until the gas was flushed away. Four Families need to get evacuated because of the sewer-line gas.
But Fire Chief Charles Hochandel said: “The firemen followed catastrophe and hazmat procedures set up beforehand for just such an occurrence.”
