I read about the senate confirming Amy Coney Barrett to the role of Supreme Court justice, which I found incredibly interesting. I mostly disagree with it because back in 2016 in the last months of Obama’s presidency his nomination was rejected because the senate felt “The next justice should be picked by the next president” and hasn’t maintained their same stance.

I feel this article is biased, but I very much enjoyed reading it because it seems like it comes from President Donald Trump, and that it seems well written.

The article explains the reasoning behind the nomination of justice Barrett and how they found her to be more middle than conservative. I have noticed the uproar against a conservative Supreme Court but I think that’s more of the intention of the Supreme Court. I feel the intention is to be more conservative and the house and senate to be more progressive.

Overall, due to the reasoning the White House has provided I really think that there is a gross overreaction specifically on the internet about the nomination. I think it’s a decent nomination, but I think Trump should have waited.
