A Sioux City man was sentenced this Friday to spend 12 years in prison for the distribution of methamphetamine, however this is not his first time

41-year-old Luis Sanchez pled guilty to a methamphetamine charge in Sioux City back in 2014 as well. Looks to me like he has really tried to change his life for the better.

Police officers and officials said that they can trace his selling and distribution of methamphetamine back to September of 2021 when he initially tried to start up his “business” again. From September to January, Sanchez has been said to have distributed more than 9 pounds of meth all across the Sioux City area.

I like that this news story is short and to the point, however I think a quote here from a police official or officer is needed. Just to get an opinion from someone who was on this case and what they think about the person I believe would not be a bad idea. I think that if a couple more quotes were added in that you could have a really top notch article here.

  1. Police don’t often comment directly about people who get arrested. It can bias the case and get it thrown out of court. They can comment on what is in a police report, which is supposed to be factual. They can also comment on other officers and on the success of an investigation, but they have to be careful.
