Both of the links above are about the 2019 National Football Champions Morningside Football Team.

Organization – The video story of the team was not as dramatic as the news print. The video got straight to the point about the team winning the national title. The print story made you read further into the article before they told you the main point.

Length/Content – The video is over 2 minutes long and the print story is a pretty lengthy article. The print story would take way longer to read than to watch the video. The video contained more highlights while the print story gave you more information about the team and their journey.

Sources/Quotes – The printed story used quotes from coaches and players. The video did not have any interviews included. The video was posted right away after the win.

The role of sounds and pictures – Sounds and video were huge for the video broadcast. Gave the viewer something to look at with in-game highlights and commentary. The print story used pictures from key moments in the game. which helped the article a lot.

  1. We discussed this in class. There are some differences in time that
explain the differences in content. KCAU more than likely followed
up with a next-day story that included interviews with Ryan and
some of the players. No time for that as they wanted to make that
    night’s broadcast.
