#1 I think when media covers stories over White Supremacies, it is definitely hurting or society and polluting our media. I believe that when they broadcast it out to the world if just makes them more proud for what they are doing because they have made it on television. With them being on television is makes it easier for young kids to watch it and learn their actions, because they think that is it okay and cool for being on tv for those reason. When they cover stories like this, I think that it pollutes social media with negativity which also makes it easier access for easily manipulated kids. Plus with all the social media sources it is harder for parents to watch over and control what their kids are exposed too. With this I think that media organizations should only report positive and absolutely, in high importance, topics and should censor some of the ugly content or at least warn people/kids that it is not good.
#2 My article is from thedailyjournialist.com. In this article, it talks about how the media is a huge contributor to how we see our society and community. People use news for many reasons, for instance; entertainment, educational, and daily know about, like weather. We get our news from many different mediums: phones, television, newspapers, etc. These not only tell use the news we need to know but also advertises things that persuades us to buy. With all this the article wrote that media can have a positive and negative affect on our lives and that ties into what we have been talking about in class.
