Neflix Introducing Ad-Supported Plan – News Article #7

Neflix announced today that the company will be introducing a new $6.99 ad-supported plan.

The plan will be named “Basic with Ads.” This is the latest attempt for the company to attract new customers. According to this article, they also believe that this will increase their average revenue per user. This gets them up to date with other competitors who have already offered cheaper subscription options with advertisements.

I believe this is newsworthy because it is relevant to me. As a broke college student, I may be more apt to purchasing a subscription that is cheaper but has advertisements. This article is objective. It includes a few statements from Neflix’s CEO. It is not written with any type of emotion or “friendly” matter.

    As a broke adult…

I might consider changing my subscription. It depends on how they plan to insert the commercials.
