Hurricane Florence actually turned out worse than what weather reports were saying. About 37 people died in total.  In North Carolina alone 343,000 people were without power. Nearly 36 inches of rain has fallen since the hurricane hit land Thursday.  The Cape Fear River flooded causing some of the worst flooding seen in this part of the country ever.

I think a lot of the deaths and power outages could have been prevented from happening. The reporters did know it was coming but did not tell everyone to evacuate when they should have.  I think CBS News did a good job on reporting this and I like how they contained stories within the story itself.
