Polar bear, Homer, passes away after 16 years.

The polar bear was found dead in its exhibit this morning. Homer was 16 years old and described as very curious and playful, by the zookeeper. As well as Homer, bobcat, Regina, and giraffe, Kenya also have passed away. Tests and biopsies are being done to find out the cause of death.

Midland Zoo continues to research and investigate everyday to provide the best home to help save our animals. Our hearts are broken with these recent deaths, thank you for your support.
