Who is Jacob Fierst?

Jacob Joseph Fierst is a 19-year-old college student currently attending Morningside College. Jacob grew up Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he went to West Allis Central and played football, basketball, and baseball.

Most people know Jacob as a fierce competitor who will do anything to win, but the people who know him best, will tell you he is just a big teddy bear.

Zach Martinek, one of Jacob’s best friend has this to say about Jake, “It takes ‘Little Jacob’ a long time to open up to new people. When I first met him, I thought he was a dude who didn’t like anyone, but as I grew closer to him, I saw a different side come out and that’s the Jake I know now.”

Jacob’s attitude comes from his upbringing, as he always was fighting to get to a better spot, whether it was in sports, video games, or even a better seat at the movie theater. However, he always has one thing at the front of his mind, family.

Jacob’s mom, Lisa, had this to say about his love for his family, “Jacob has always been a family boy, as long as I can remember. He calls every day asking how I am and how his sisters are doing.”

Jacob added, “My family is my everything. They’re what keeps me going every day.”

This is why it was a hard decision for Jacob to pack his bags and drive seven hours to come to Morningside and play basketball. However, his family makes it easy for him with their constant support and phone calls, they always seem close.

Jacob is the second of four kids with one older sister, Jordan, and two younger sisters, Jacy and Jozie. His mom, Lisa, is the Vice President of HR and his dad, Jason, is a truck driver. With Jacob’s close knit family and extremely hard work ethic, he strives to become a business owner one day.

Timberwolves select Anthony Edwards with the #1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Anthony Edwards is a 19 year old shooting guard from the University of Georgia, where he averaged 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists last year. Edwards became the 11th straight one-and-done player to be drafted No. 1 overall.

Edwards was interviewed via zoom where he said, “It’s an indescribable feeling, I can’t even describe it. So many emotions. My family is emotional. I feel like when I get out of here I’m going to be emotional. It’s beyond measure to be in this situation.” Edwards is expected to have a great year with the Timberwolves, and the Wolves hope to make a playoff push with all-stars, Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russel.

This article is news worthy because it gives relevant sports news. It also was the first online NBA draft, which certainly is news worthy.

Who is Lebron James?

James was born on December 30, 1984 in Akron, Ohio. At an early age, Lebron found his love for the game of basketball and went on to being one of the best high school players ever.

Lebron James is a basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers. James has been playing basketball his whole life, and started gathering national attention in high school as one of the top prospects of all time. James went on to skip college, and became the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. With Lebron’s skillset, athleticism, and talent, he became a 4 time MVP, and went onto win 4 NBA Championships (2 with the Miami Heat, 1 with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers). James is still playing for the Lakers and continues to play at the highest level.

James is not only a basketball player though, he is the father of his two sons, Lebron James Jr. and Bryce, as well as his daughter Zhuri. He is also the husband to his high school sweetheart Savanah Brinson, who is the mother to his children as well. Off the court, Lebron has been a member of the Nike team since 2003 and signed several endorsement deals, including a lifetime deal for $90 million which could net him over 1 billion dollars. James also started the Lebron James Foundation which helps single parents in need, as well as starting a school, the I Promise School, where he gives all graduating kids a full ride scholarship to the University of Akron, Ohio. On top of all this, James is very outspoken on social media, talking about social injustice, and many other problems going on in the world today.

Lebron is by far my favorite basketball player, and famous person. I am a big fan of Lebron because of his excellence in basketball, as well as his voice, and him standing up for what he believes in.

Wisconsin football paused all team related activities for at least 7 days including the cancelling of their upcoming game against Nebraska.

As of Wednesday morning Wisconsin football had 12 people within the program test positive for COVID-19 in the past 5 days. This includes 6 players and 6 staff members.
