It is nice to know what the professor expects out of you for a presentation. All the other years they were either too detailed or too blah in general. This time it’s like we are taking control of our projects rather than having to meet a certain criteria. We have all shown that capability time and time again. Now, we know what is expected of us indefinitely. Because of that, we can now FINALLY be creative and go above and beyond the call of duty if we want to. Or we can just have a decent presentation that gets a good grade like an A. It won’t be anything special but it will meet the criteria. Hopefully, everybody will at least offer some kind of variety. Like Prof. de Vega said, it would get boring quickly unless each person does something considerably different. I’m guessing that it will be fun having these presentations and ending the semester with these. But, then there’s the finals right after the presentations…

I agree, I think this project is well laid out but we also get the privilege of choosing exactly how we want to present our information. Creativity is going to be big with this project. I kind of struggle with that a little but we have a lot of time to think and write our paper so we all should have a good idea on what to do within a week or so. Even if the paper lacks a little bit of creativity we are also being graded on the information presented. So even if we aren’t strong in one category we can make it up in another category. I think we will see a lot of Powerpoints but if that is the way people operate their presentations the best than that is okay. I thought of doing a Prezi or something but I think my decision will become a little easier once I start writing the paper. We get four or five days for these presentations in class which is cool because it takes up class time and we learn about other people’s papers too. I was thinking the same thing you were thinking, we will be nice and relaxed for a week going over projects and that relaxing will come to an abrupt halt when we have to prepare for the final exam 🙁 But as long as we are given time to review our notes and ask questions about the exam I think finals will go alright. The midterm wasn’t too bad and I can’t imagine the finals being much worse.
