Dancing Through Life

a bit of randomness…

A Red Popsicle

Filed under: Uncategorized — Nancy at 4:06 pm on Thursday, August 30, 2012

We were so excited we danced in our seats, like little kids on Christmas morning. Coming so close to lunch time, a deliciously red Popsicle was the perfect treat. The room erupted with the sound of 23 paper covers being ripped open. The taste was cold yet delicious on my tongue as I took my first bite. You hear the faint sound of slurping up the Popsicle as everyone types away at their blog posts. The Popsicle becomes soft and moist as it melts in my mouth. As I took a bigger bite, the frozen deliciousness sent a shiver up my spine. As the red Popsicle began to disappear, the wooden stick appeared. I began to realize that this delicious vacation from my journalism class was coming to an end, as I took the last bite from the wooden Popsicle stick. What I thought was the perfect snack before lunch, actually disappointed me and cause my stomach to growl more for the cafeteria.

Obama’s Coming to Town

If you didn’t already know Obama is coming to Morningside College this Saturday, and just this morning I got a ticket. I choose the article from the Sioux City Journal which first introduced that President Obama was coming to Morningside. I completely agree that this is news. I mean, come on now, it is Sioux City Iowa and they chose Morningside College to speak at; of all the colleges in the area. I feel like this is a pretty big thing for Morningside! I don’t care what your party is, when the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, no matter who it is, comes to your school, you go see him speak. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, not only because he is the president, but the first African American president as well. This is one small step for Sioux City, one giant step for Morningside College.

About Me!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Nancy at 3:13 pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Howdy!.. My name is Nancy Seeman. I am currently a junior at Morningside College in Sioux City. I’m a double major in Marketing and Corporate Communication with a minor in Advertising. I would love to work within the media world in sales and promotions, but my career goal is to own my own dance studio some day.

I’m originally from Stanton Nebraska and I am a die-hard husker fan. My parents both taught at my high school and my older sister is currently a teacher in Minneapolis Minnesota. I love to perform (sing, dance, act: TRIPLE THREAT=]) and travel. I am a member of the Morningside Dance team and I absolutely love New York City. I was also raised to be a Chicago Cubs fan.. yayaya I know they aren’t the best but they are my families favorite. So yeah.. that’s a bit of randomness about me!
