Hello! My name is Mandi De Jongh. I am a junior at Morningside University with a major in Marketing and minors in Business Administration and Psychology. I am from a small town in the Northwest corner of Iowa called Hull. Our population size is 2,500. I have lived on a farm a mile out of town my whole life. We have hogs, cattle, corn, and beans. My hobbies include shopping, hanging out with friends and family, and going to Okoboji. I also work at Willow Creek Boutique in Rock Valley, Iowa. I am very passionate about my work there as I get to stay up-to-date with fashion and social media trends.

I chose Morningside University for many reasons. One reason is the location. I am very close with my family so being just an hour away is very nice. I can still see them quite a bit and attend family events frequently. I also loved the size of Morningside. I love the family feel Morningside brings to me and all the relationships I have built with the students and the professors. Lastly, I chose Morningside because of the Business Department. I love how the department is ran and all the leaders involved with it. I know I am going to leave Morningside prepared well for my career. I am currently unsure what I want to do with my degree, but I know Morningside with give my guidance to find a career right for me. Thanks for reading!
