The outside of a Pirouline has a soft and flakey covering that melts in your mouth. Once you get past the outside, your tongue meets the rich and creamy chocolate and hazelnut inside. Piroulines are shaped has a cylindrical rod with a nice chocolate swirl on the outside coating. There are many shades of brown through out the wafer.
