Classmate Anecdote- Megan

Megan is ambitious on and off the basketball court. Playing basketball may not have been her original plan for her college career. In high school, she thought she didn’t want to play college basketball. After her high school basketball season came to end, she knew she didn’t want to end her basketball career. She decided to commit to Morningside University for basketball.

“I try to be the best player I can be even if it wasn’t in my plans.” Megan added.

Megan is happy with her decision. She really enjoys the team atmosphere. She is willing to do whatever it takes to win. Megan is ambitious because of her drive to continue working hard towards her basketball career.

Food Description

The outside of a Pirouline has a soft and flakey covering that melts in your mouth. Once you get past the outside, your tongue meets the rich and creamy chocolate and hazelnut inside. Piroulines are shaped has a cylindrical rod with a nice chocolate swirl on the outside coating. There are many shades of brown through out the wafer. The instant you bite into the wafer there is a burst of flavor. There is a perfect balance of sweet and savory.

Stuart Scott Speech

Stuart Scott, an American sportscaster and anchor on ESPN, received the ESPYS Award last night. He delivered an inspirational acceptance speech.

Scott, battling cancer, addressed the audience, “When you die, that does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live and in the manner in which you live.”

Scott emphasized his love for his two daughters. Being a father is the best thing he will ever do.

Scott stated, “I love you guys more than I will ever be able to express. You two are my heartbeat. I am standing on this stage here tonight because of you.”

He is very thankful for the award and is continuing to never give up on his cancer battle.
